AI Search Visibility Audit · Currently US market only
If you are a business in the Australian market, would you like a free quote for an AI Search Visibility Audit?
Yes
When someone asks an AI assistant to recommend a business like yours, does it name you?
Welcome to the future of the ‘Search’ function
Someone used to search and get ten links to choose from. Now they ask an AI assistant and get one answer with two or three names in it. If you are not in those two or three names, you are not in the running — and unlike a search result, there is no page two you are sitting on.
This change is happening right now, you just don’t realise it’s happening. Somebody choosing a dentist, a family looking for a lawyer, a company shortlisting a supplier — the AI assistant is increasingly where the question gets asked first, and the answer it gives back is short. Two or three names, stated as though they were the obvious ones.
The uncomfortable part of this is that being absent is silent. Nobody tells you. There is no ranking to slip down, no traffic dip to investigate, no notification. The work simply goes to whoever was named instead.
So has anyone solved this?
An industry has certainly appeared. In the last two years a whole category of tools has arrived promising to measure AI search, and nearly all of them do the same thing — they give you a number on a dashboard. That dashboard tells you that you were mentioned 18% of the time, puts it next to a green arrow, and leaves it there.
A number on its own with a green tick is not an answer. It cannot tell you whether 18% is a real reading or the result of asking on a good day. It cannot tell you which pages the AI assistant actually read before it answered, so you have no idea what to change. And it cannot tell you the thing that should worry you most — what the AI assistant is saying about you that is simply wrong.
If you are a business or a service that relies on someone finding you via a search function – did you know the landscape has changed?
An AI Search Visibility Audit on your website can provide you with answers to the questions you cannot answer from the outside:
- Are you named at all when someone asks an AI assistant to recommend a business like yours — If Yes, how often?
- Who is being named instead of you, and how often do they come up?
- Is it a real reading, or noise? Every audit question is repeated, so the result carries a confidence interval rather than being a screenshot of one lucky morning.
- Can an AI assistant read your site at all, or have they been shut out without anyone noticing?
- How are you described when you are named? Being named and being recommended are different outcomes, and they call for opposite work.
- What do AI assistants state as facts about you?
Where two AI assistants contradict each other, at least one of them is telling people something untrue about you. An AI Search Visibility Audit gives you answers to questions you don't realise you should be asking already.
