The problem

Government decisions rest on what people submit: comments on a public consultation, grant applications, tenders. Each one is taken to come from a real person or organisation, saying what they actually think or can actually deliver.

That can no longer be assumed. AI can now produce thousands of distinct, plausible submissions for a few dollars, each worded differently enough to pass a duplicate check. Organised campaigns can attach real people's names to views those people never held. And a submission written entirely by a person can still cite studies, figures or credentials that do not exist.

This has already happened. A New York Attorney General investigation into a US Federal Communications Commission consultation found millions of fake comments, many lodged under real people's names without their knowledge, using software built to give every comment different wording.

For an agency, the risk runs both ways. Count a manufactured campaign, and a decision rests on evidence that was fabricated. Discount a genuine one, and lawful public participation has been silenced.

What is SN Probity?

SN Probity is patent-pending software, designed and built in Australia by 01Mind for Australian agencies facing this growing problem. It runs nineteen independent checks on each submission and gives it a score out of 100: how far the evidence supports relying on that submission. The lower the score, the more closely an officer should look at it, and the finding says why.

What SN Probity does

SN Probity examines each submission, not just the batch, and asks three questions of it:

For every submission, it gives your officers a graduated finding with the evidence behind it. It never delivers a verdict and never accuses anyone. Your officers make the decision; SN Probity makes sure that decision rests on what was actually measured.

Built for how government works

Who it is for

Commonwealth departments and agencies, state and territory agencies, and local councils running public consultations, grant rounds and procurements.

Try SN Probity free

Every organisation can trial SN Probity free for 7 business days, installed on its own infrastructure and used on its own submissions. One trial per organisation.

At the end of the trial you have two business days to tell us whether to continue. If you say yes, your licence starts that day and we invoice on 30-day terms. If you say no, or do not answer, the software removes itself.

Foundational Software Partnership

We are inviting three organisations to become Foundational Software Partners for SN Probity: the first to run it on their own submissions, and to help shape how it is refined from that use. We are seeking Australian Federal and State Government Departments for Foundational Software Partnerships for this product.

What a Partner receives

  • The complete product: every capability, nothing withheld.
  • A price that never goes up: A$70,000 a year excluding GST, in place of the standard A$110,000, fixed for the whole Partnership including every renewal. It is not an introductory rate.
  • A longer trial: 14 business days rather than seven. If it ends in a yes, you become a Partner from that day.
  • A say in what is improved: before each six-monthly round of improvements we ask you in writing what you need, and tell you in writing what we decided and why.
  • Every upgrade included: every improvement on release, at no extra charge.
  • A direct line: direct contact with the founder who designed and built it, not an account team.

What we ask of you

Two things: never send us your data and tell us about faults rather than working around them. Beyond that, tell us what works and what should change, if and when you choose.

What we do not ask

No case study, no logo, no endorsement. We will not name you as a Partner without your written consent.

How long it lasts

The Partnership runs for a year and renews automatically. Either party can end it with 30 days' written notice. An organisation taking more than one SN product is one Partnership.
